Spring term - 10 March 2023
 Invitation to SW100 Summit
Dear Colleagues
From 9.30 - 3.30pm on Saturday 25th March, we’re convening our first open ‘SW100 Summit’ at West Exe School in Exeter.
School and trust leaders are invited to come together to confront the disadvantage gap in Devon and Cornwall, connect with others, and consider ways in which we can all contribute towards eradicating educational inequality in the South West.
Steve Taylor and Dan Nicholls from the Cabot Learning Federation and Owen Losse (formerly of Uncommon Schools in the US) will join us to explore how school trusts can prioritise children experiencing disadvantage.
Siobhan Meredith from Ted Wragg Trust and Amy Newman (Headteacher at William Perkin CofE High School, part of the Twyford CofE Trust, the highest performing MAT nationally) will join us to explore what more can be done at the school level — how can we create systems to ensure all students fulfil the high expectations we hold for them?
Jon Hutchinson from Reach will be joined by Owen Losse (Uncommon Schools) and the SW100’s very own Jo Luxford (Principal at Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust) and Harrison Littler (Vice Principal of Teaching & Learning at Torquay Academy) to explore what schools can do differently to ensure professional development serves the most vulnerable children in our care—and how other organisations can better support them in doing so.
Interested? Please complete this form to register your attendance. Places are limited, so we recommend doing so sooner rather than later!
Kind regards
Matthew SHANKS Executive Principal and Chief Executive Officer Education South West
