Progress on our improvement plan
The partners submitted an accelerated action plan (APP) to the Department of Education (DfE) at the end of October. The plans outline actions to tackle the four areas of weakness, as identified by Ofsted:

Strategic plans and the local area’s SEND arrangements are not embedded or widely understood by stakeholders

Concerns about communications, particularly with parents and families
-
The time it takes to issue Education Health and Care (EHC) plans and their quality
-
Weaknesses in the identification, assessment, diagnosis and support of children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Following feedback from the DfE, the plan is being revised and is due to be resubmitted by 12 December.
