We are delighted to welcome Trevor Doughty as the chair of our refreshed improvement partnership board for SEND. Some of you might recognise Trevor as he has been a leading force in Children's Services in the South-West. His most recent role has been as the children’s improvement adviser for the Local Government Association, but he also notably turned around fortunes in Cornwall where he was the strategic director for children, schools and families, between 2010 - 2020. His previous roles have seen him serve as the corporate director for education, health and social care and corporate director children’s services at Cornwall and before that he served in the North-East at both South Tyneside Council and Northumberland County Council. He has also been Commissioner at both Worcester and Surrey. We are confident that Trevor's experience and expertise will be invaluable in advising and supporting our partnership to deliver the change that is needed for the children, young people and families of Devon.
