                 25 July 2022

Cost of Care Update

As the deadline for Cost of Care returns looms on 31 July, here are three updates to encourage and support providers in undertaking the Cost of Care exercise...

1. National Ministerial letter underlining the importance of Cost of Care

2. Cost of Care data reassurance

Following questions from providers, both Devon County Council and the Cost of Care delivery partners wish to reassure you about the way in which data you have submitted is stored and managed.

Devon County Council assures you that Cost of Care data will not be used for anything other than this exercise and only a small team of people will be able to access the data. DCC will aggregate all the data for their input to the overarching exercise.

iESE, suppliers of the CareCubed portal, assure you that data submitted to them will only be held for the duration of their product license, which runs until 2024, and that data will be deleted 60 days after the license expiry. If a provider would like the data removed before this date they can contact them as this can be arranged, as per GDPR regulations.
