 Devon Work Hubs network expanded
The award-winning Devon Work Hubs network has expanded with the opening of three new hubs across the county and expansion of a fourth.
We secured funding from the Heart of the South West LEP Getting Building Fund last year, which has now enabled three new Work Hubs to open in Great Torrington, Newton Abbot and Teignmouth. The extension of the Tavistock Enterprise Hub is also complete.
A further two Work Hubs are due to open in Ilfracombe and High Bickington in the coming months.
There are now 19 unique and flexible coworking spaces in the Devon Work Hubs network. The hubs enable freelancers and small businesses to adopt modern working patterns, by providing access to a variety of meeting rooms, hot desks and office spaces.
Devon Work Hubs has also announced the launch of its new website which provides details of the choice of offices, workspaces, meeting rooms and solo desks available at convenient locations across the county.
Free support for small businesses and community groups
We've launched a new support programme to help small businesses and community groups.
Get Set to Tender is offering free support to Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that have less than 250 employees, to help them respond to public sector organisation tendering opportunities.
The project, which will operate until March 2023, is part of a wider package of support being delivered through Devon’s £6 million recovery programme which aims to provide help and support in four key areas: small and medium enterprises, employment and skills, the green recovery, and the hardest-hit towns and communities.
Get Set to Tender will provide support to organisations that are new to public sector contract tendering as well as those who already have some experience. Advice and support will be available to community-led initiatives in the county.

Farming Recovery programme launched in Devon
We have launched the Farming Recovery programme to help farm businesses adopt best practice of soil and nutrients management on their land.
Eight workshops, which will be held virtually and in person by Business Information Point (BIP) on our behalf, will support farmers and landowners to better understand their soils with the aim of improving environmental standards and tackling the current challenges in rising energy costs and increasing price of fertiliser.
All of the workshops are open to farmers and landowners who live within Devon and they are being held at venues across the county in order to be accessible to all.
You can find out more by visiting the Farming Recovery programme webpage or by emailing team@businessinfopoint.co.uk
