Booster vaccinations for social care staff

As Omicron becomes the dominant variant of Coronavirus in Devon, Covid19 infection rates are beginning to rise again in Devon as are outbreaks in care settings.

Where residents and staff are fully vaccinated, including a booster, those who do test positive are generally experiencing a mild infection or are asymptomatic.

Staff booster uptake is currently recorded on Capacity Tracker as 57% for Care home, 47% for Domiciliary Care and 36% for Supported Living. Please keep your data up-to-date to assist national and local planning and delivery.

Appointments at one of our vaccination sites remains the best way to get your vaccine and can be booked via the National Booking System.  Details of walk-in clinics are being regularly shared on NHS Devon CCG’s social media pages. You can find your nearest walk-in clinic on NHS England’s site finder here.

Materials to promote the uptake of vaccinations and boosters are available here.
