Strike action disruption to bus services in the South West
There is a planned strike for Stagecoach bus drivers across the South West taking place on Monday 18 October.
It is expected that this will have a significant impact on bus services and is likely to affect not only those of you working on Monday itself but also those of you working nightshifts on the Sunday and / or Monday night.
The Stagecoach website will give a detailed list of services they’ll be unable to operate and those which will operate temporary timetables.
Please note: if you are car sharing with colleagues, we encourage you to wear a face covering during the journey, sit diagonally (one in the front, one in the back) and keep the windows open.
We advise you that you review your business continuity plans. Please also review your rotas and workplans to identify all staff working between midday on Sunday 17 October and Tuesday 19 October who will be affected by the bus strike.
Please speak to all identified staff and make sure that they have plans in place for alternative arrangements to get to and from work safely.
