DCC Consultation – Schools Funding arrangements 2021-22
In 2021-22, as in previous years, the local authority will continue to set a local schools funding formula, in consultation with its schools, under what is known as a ‘soft’ National Funding Formula (NFF). The government are expected to, later this year, put forward plans to move to a ‘hard’ NFF in the future, which will determine school funding allocations directly, rather than a local funding formula.
The Devon schools funding consultation will run from Thursday 1 October to Sunday 18 October 2020 and the consultation documents will be available at Schools Funding Arrangements 2021-22. Responses to the consultation will need to be submitted no later than close of play 18 October 2020.
As we move through the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the local authority acknowledges the need to make the consultation and information events via a virtual setting to allow people to attend whilst remaining within your bubbles.
The virtual meetings are to take place :
- Monday 5th October 2020 - 9.30am – 12.30pm
- Wednesday 7th October 2020 - 9.30am – 12.30pm
- Wednesday 7th October 2020 - 1.30pm – 4.30pm
Online bookings can be made via the Online Booking Form. Booking closes 3.30pm on 30th September 2020. Schools are strongly encouraged to attend these events and engage with the consultation process.
Please note: as these events are being held using Teams we will require an email address for each attendee to ensure that an invite goes out for the events.
