With A-level results released today (Thursday 13 August) and GCSE results coming up next week, lots of young people are thinking about the next steps in their careers at the moment.
Which is why, along with the NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), we’ve launched the new Proud to Care Devon campaign to inspire young people into careers in health and social care.
The new campaign, promotes the many, varied and rewarding career opportunities across Devon, and raises awareness of the different possible pathways into health and social care, through school, college, vocational courses and university degrees.
The coronavirus pandemic has highlighted the importance of health and social care workers more than ever and, with certain sectors experiencing workforce shortages, the campaign is encouraging 16 to 25-year olds in particular to consider a career in the sector.
