Supporting health and social care providers in Devon

NHS Devon CCG - CHC Care Home Placements - change from Your Care & Support Plans to Care Plans

NHS Devon CCG have recently undertaken a review of administrative pathways followed for individuals funded by the CCG in a Care Home placement. As a result of this, NHS Devon are simplifying the internal processes for setting up new payments made through the Devon County Council Care Home payment system.  From a provider perspective you will see no difference in the payments you receive, their frequency or method of payment. The only change you will see is that from Monday 13th January 2020,  Devon County Council’s Arranging Support Teams will no longer be issuing  Your Care & Support Plans (YCASP’s)  for NHS Devon CCG funded residents.  You will instead receive a copy of the individual’s CHC or Fast Track Care Plan and contract letter setting out payment details directly from the CHC Hub.  You will then receive revised care plans and letters from the CHC Hub following any change to placement cost or levels of support and this will follow a review and/or renegotiation of costs.

Market Position Statement – Vibrant Markets for Happy and Healthy Lives

mps

The County Council, CCG and DPT are pleased to share with you our latest Market Position Statement (MPS).  The MPS sets out our commissioning intentions, together with our assessment of supply and demand across a wide range of markets. It is key to achieving sufficient and high quality markets.  It signals business opportunities and will therefore help inform providers to think about the direction of your businesses.

The MPS includes a series of Commissioning Statements which cover key areas such as Care Homes, Supported Living, Regulated Personal Care etc. These documents are available electronically through the County Council’s Provider Engagement Network website - and will be updated in real time as circumstances change.

We are keen to get feedback on the MPS so please let us know what you think of it. Also, if you have any questions or want to discuss the future of your business with us please contact the Market Management team.
