Civil advice Q&A
In part 11 of our civil advice series, a car buyer has asked for a refund after agreeing to a repair...
Q. We sold a car to a customer. The car developed a fault and the customer agreed to a repair. The fault has returned and the customer now wants a refund. Have they lost their right to a refund because they agreed to a repair?
A. No. The Consumer Rights Act says the customer has a final right to refund on faulty goods if a repair is unsuccessful or if a second fault occurs with the goods.
