If you care about the environment, hate litter and have an artistic eye why not enter a new competition to design a logo for a new partnership, dedicated to cleaning up our countryside – and if your design wins, you’ll win £100!
Clean Devon will be launched in the New Year and will see environmental groups, emergency services, businesses and local authorities join forces to combat the scourge of litter and fly-tipping.
We’ve all been for a walk in a park, down a country lane or across a field only to find discarded rubbish, an abandoned fridge or a pile of chipboard in our path.
This environmental vandalism blights communities; litter and fly tipping is not only unsightly, it is a growing financial burden on society.
It can have serious public health consequences and impacts on our agriculture, wildlife and tourist industry.
It is critical that litter and fly tipping is tackled with an innovative, enterprising approach – and that’s why Clean Devon is being formed.
Each group will share expertise and intelligence and work with businesses, communities and parish councils to put a stop to it.
And we want a logo that captures this ethos of working for the common good of the environment.
The designer of the winning entry will win £100 and their design will be used across all Clean Devon promotional materials.
Entries should be submitted by 22 November through the Recycle Devon website.
