 School Funding Arrangements 2020/21

2020-21 is the third year of the National Funding Formula (NFF) “soft” formula arrangements.
In 2020-21, as in previous years, local authorities will continue to set local schools’ formulae, in consultation with local schools. The government has confirmed its intention to move to a single “hard” national funding formula to determine all schools’ budgets, working closely with local authorities and other stakeholders in making this transition in the future.
In conjunction with headteacher and governor representatives, we are consulting with all schools, academies and free schools on the proposed local formula from 2nd to 18th October 2019. Consultation documents will be released on 2nd October 2019.
Consultation and information events are being held across Devon. We encourage you to share your views with us by coming along to these events and responding to the consultation.
