New Children’s Health and Wellbeing Service 'The Devon Children and Families Alliance' to launch in April 2019 A partnership of local NHS trusts and social enterprises will deliver children’s community health and wellbeing services in Devon from 1 April. The Devon Children and Families Alliance (The Alliance) was awarded the £23.8 million-a-year contract, of which Devon County Council contributes £1.6m. As part of the work we are doing to strengthen our communication with parents we would welcome ideas from parents and their representative groups on how we could improve the Special Education Needs and Disability system in Devon. We are currently seeking feedback based around the four priority areas identified by the inspectors.
Any support you could give by highlighting how parents can share their thoughts in your newsletters would be most welcome.

SEND Champions for Change film and follow up Young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Devon have been working on an amazing film to urge practitioners and other young people that their voices should be heard, not ignored.
