Introducing you to Roadmap, a Devon Highways update created specifically for Parish & Town Councils
Roadmap is Devon Highways new publication created specifically for Town & Parish Councils. Roadmap has been created following feedback received at our recent Parish & Town Council Conferences. During the events it became clear that there was more we could do to advise you of the information that is readily available. Whilst we have previously relied on emails to provide you with this information, and also to advise you of important messages, we felt that a publication such as this could help improve the way in which we communicate.
If you have any feedback on our first edition please let us know, we want to shape this publication based on your requirements. If you would like to make a contribution please also let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Our initial expectation is that there will be an edition of Roadmap twice a year, however if there is a need to increase the frequency we will look to do so.
If you would prefer not to receive future copies of this publication please unsubscribe here. Alternatively if you are aware of other members of your councils who would like to receive a copy of Roadmap please advise here.
Parish & Town Council Conferences 2017
Thank you to everybody who attended our recent parish and town council conferences which were held in November.
We saw over 128 attendees representing approximately 90 parish and town councils over the 4 days and also had a number of county councillors, locality officers and a district councillor attend.
The majority of the presentations are available to view on our Parish and Town Council webpages.
Thank you to everybody who completed the feedback form at the end of each event. This has now been collated and will be available to view on the parish and town council webpage shortly. If you didn't complete and feedback form, and would like to do so, please let us know. The feedback will be used to determine the format for next year's events.

Pothole Action Fund
You may have picked up, in the Budget, that the Government have
made an additional £45m available for the pothole action fund for 17/18.
We have checked and this isn’t a mistake, the year is correct. Ministers
still haven’t decided how it will be allocated but if it is on the usual
formula then we are looking at a further £1.75m for this year. There will
be more on this when we understand what the “rules” are, which we have been
advised, by Government, is likely to be January. With the late notice of
the allocation of the funding we have been advised that if this can not be delivered
efficiently it can be slipped to 2018/19.
For details on the existing Pothole Action Fund works please see our dedicated webpage.
Your feedback is required!
We are in the process of reviewing our Parish & Town Council webpages.
Would you please be able to spare a few minutes of your time to complete our online survey. The feedback will help us determine whether the webpages are required and if so, what improvements can be made.
