Safeguarding Training |
Kent Serious Games
Sent on behalf of
Sally Yeo (Workforce Development Adviser, DSCB)
Dear Colleagues,
Please cascade this
email throughout your organisation to all those you feel should receive the
information. It should go to managers and team leaders and those who are
interested in becoming trainers who will deliver these materials, these
sessions are not suitable for those who require the training in this area as
these are all just information sessions designed to promote the training and
will not be the full training sessions.
Some of you will be
aware that the DSCB have purchased licences to deliver the Kent Serious
Games. This is an imaginative and innovative way of delivering training
in a flexible way. It is particularly appropriate for delivery in small
groups but could be used in multi-agency groups or single agency groups .
The three packages are:
Looking out for Lottie
– Spotting the signs of child sexual exploitation
Zak – spotting the signs
of online radicalisation
Rosie 2 – Assessing parental
capacity and neglect in complex families

Data Protection: Do you know about
the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) that take effect from May 2018?
The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) replaces the
existing Data Protection Act and extends the rights of individuals over the use
of their personal data.
Any failure by schools
to comply with the GDPR rules can result in both a fine and an investigation by
the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
Schools will need to
record what personal and personally sensitive information they hold in manual
and electronic files, along with details of management responsibility for that
data, and their policies on storage and deletion.
