Staff Survey 2015 - message from Phil Norrey, Chief Executive
Please take 15 mins to fill out our latest Staff Survey.
This an opportunity for DCC staff to let our Corporate Leadership Team, Heads
of Service and Leadership Teams understand more about how it feels for you to
work for our organisation, and to help us identify opportunities for
improving the way we work together.
The results of the survey will help to
support our work in this exciting and fast-moving environment for the County
Council, and to identify themes, and areas and activities where improvements
may be possible.
The survey can be done during working hours. Your answers will be treated in
complete confidence.
Thank you for your time; we look forward to

Swap not shop!
Interested in running your own clothes swap? Recycle Devon would like to help, with the launch of their clothes swap event toolkit. (PDF version)
A clothes swap or 'swishing' is a great way to pass on clothes that we
no longer need or want to someone else that can give them a new lease of life. Lots of communities around Devon are holding
their own events already and we want to encourage more towns and villages to
swap not shop!
Why not head along to an Exeter Clothes Swap event to see how it’s done?
 Wooden
spoons at the ready… it’s almost Stir-up Sunday!
This Sunday (22 November) is the traditional day when families get together to make
and mix their Christmas pudding. Everyone gets to give it a good stir and –
importantly – make a special wish for the year ahead. Find Homemade with Fairtrade inspiration online.
And, did you know that Devon has been a Fairtrade County since 2008? There’s
always something you can do to support Fairtrade – especially at work

Have you read the question and answers about the staff flu vaccination for staff?
Get answers to questions, such as:
- How do I know if I am eligible?
- Can the vaccination give you flu?
- What if I have an egg allergy?
- Is the flu vaccination really effective?
Front
line client-facing staff are eligible for a free flu vaccine, and some other
groups are eligible too, for business continuity purposes. Speak to your
manager... And it is important to let your manager know you
have had it, so that our Emergency Planning team can capture data on the
numbers of staff vaccinated.
Our updated Source page gives more information
on the benefits of having the vaccination and how to easily claim your expense
