New ministerial portfolios confirmed at Department for Business,
Energy and Industrial Strategy
Following the creation of
the new Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the
appointment of Rt Hon Greg Clark MP as Secretary of State, the full list of
ministerial responsibilities within the department has now been confirmed.
Greg Clark, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and
Industrial Strategy
Greg Clark leads
the Department's work across all areas, which brings together responsibilities
for business, industrial strategy, science, innovation and energy.
This includes:
- developing and delivering a comprehensive industrial
strategy and leading the government’s relationship with business
- ensuring that the country has secure energy supplies
that are reliable, affordable and clean
- ensuring the UK remains at the leading edge of science,
research and innovation
- tackling climate change
