Holiday and attendance penalty notices - reminder
The penalty notice toolkit has been updated for the new school term and this is now available in the September General folder on Perspective Lite. Please ensure this is shared with all staff who manage attendance. Penalty notice requests for holidays that took place at the end of the summer term will be accepted until the end of September.
National Child Measurement Programme
Live Life Better Derbyshire has been asked by The Department of Health and Social Care to deliver the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP). A letter with further information has been sent to Headteachers of all Infant, Junior and Academy schools via Perspective Lite General folder.
The NCMP team will contact parents directly, please do not send any letters to parents. Healthier Futures, Live Life Better Derbyshire is the service which helps parents to take care of their health and wellbeing as a family. Please share this information with your parents and carers.

Travel Smart week will be 19 to 23 October. Leaflets and posters are currently being printed ready for distribution to all schools who have previously participated in the Travel Smart campaign. Please email sustainable.travel@derbyhire.gov.uk if you would like to join in or alter the quantities of materials required.
New Halo offering for Free School Meal queries
The new Halo offering is now available to request support with the Free School Meals reports available via SAM.

This online course aims to introduce you to the role of chair and help you develop to become an effective leader of your board.
30 September 2026 – 6pm to 8pm
Online training around the role of school governors in monitoring and evaluation.
7 October 2026 – 6pm to 8pm
A two-part online course for Early Years providers, school staff and professionals working with children with sensory processing needs.
12 October 2026 – 9:30am to midday
Three individual, short, online 30 minute sessions to help attendees maximise the benefits of their membership.
