Free School Meals team - important update
The Free School Meals team is currently extremely busy dealing with a high volume of enquiries, so responses to emails and phone calls may be delayed. Before contacting the team, please check your SAM Report, as the information you need may already be available there. If a pupil is shown on your SAM Report as having submitted an application, please do not advise the family to reapply. Their application is already held on the system and will have been checked recently.
The next school census date is Thursday 1 October 2026. The Derbyshire MIS Support team has created Arbor guidance documents to support users with the process from start to submission, which are now available on S4S. You must be logged in to S4S to view this article.
Note to schools regarding annual boiler servicing and gas soundness testing
Please be advised that from 1 June 2026, William Freers are no longer the contract provider to carry out the annual boiler servicing and gas soundness testing. The new contractor is Heating & Process Engineering Services Ltd (Heatpro). They will contact you in the weeks prior to your service due date to arrange a mutually convenient appointment. Please be aware that any orders placed with William Freers will not be covered under the DCC contract terms and conditions.

This online course aims to introduce you to the role of chair and help you develop to become an effective leader of your board.
