Perspective Lite – new Headteachers from September - reminder

If you haven’t already, please email cs.web@derbyshire.gov.uk as soon as possible if you have a new Headteacher in post from September, so we can update account details and maintain school access to important documents.


Data retention requirements in Arbor MIS – reminder

Education Data Hub, in consultation with Derbyshire Internal Audit, has shared a document confirming data retention requirements in the Arbor MIS. This has been sent to relevant schools via Perspective Lite July General folder.


Fair Access changes

A letter has recently been sent out to Derbyshire headteachers, via Perspective Lite July General folder, outlining prospective phased changes relating to processes and protocol from September 2026 onwards.


Suspension notifications - reminder for schools

Please check that your school has notified the local authority of all suspensions for academic year 2025/26. Please note that this may be particularly relevant to schools who have changed to Arbor this year, as this data doesn’t automatically import. Schools need to complete the suspensions template V6.

The Schools HR Advisory Service has a new Wellbeing & Stress Management Policy with supporting Wellbeing & Stress Management Toolkit available for subscribers on Services for Schools (S4S).


SAP Cloud Migration – Information for schools

SAP will soon be migrated to a secure, cloud-based platform as part of the council’s wider programme to modernise and improve our systems and services.


New Halo offering for Free School Meal Queries - September release

From September we will be introducing a new service on the Halo for Schools portal that enables you to request support with FSM reports available through SAM. This service can be used to raise queries regarding the addition or removal of children from your reports, as well as to report any issues with the reports themselves.

Please note that queries relating to eligibility status must continue to be raised directly with the Checking Service. Further information, including the link to the offering, will be communicated in September. 


New Halo offering for SAM Amend User Access - September release

From September we will be introducing a new service on the Halo for Schools portal that enables you to request changes to your SAM users. This service replaces the Excel form that was previously sent to our Information Enquires team.
