Perspective Lite – new Headteachers from September
If you haven’t already, please email cs.web@derbyshire.gov.uk as soon as possible if you have a new Headteacher in post from September, so we can update account details and maintain school access to important documents.
The Schools HR Advisory Service has provided an update on Services for Schools regarding the current position (July 2026) of both teacher and support staff pay. Updates will be provided as further information becomes available.
Sign up for over 10% savings on water bills via new contract
The Energy Management Team is in the process of seeking cabinet approval to award a contract for water supplies to DCC sites (with an option for schools to join). The contract will be for 3 years (plus 1 year extension) and should result in an approximate 10% saving on current billed costs. There should be minimal disruption, and there will be some additional support available.
If you would like your school to be added to the contract please email joe.banks@derbyshire.gov.uk with your intention to join. Further information will be provided on request.
Free water audits and water saving technology for schools
Water efficiency audits are being offered to schools within the Derbyshire area at no cost (funding is via Severn Trent / Ofwat). The audit provides an assessment of water use, leaks and possible improvement opportunities to reduce water consumption, lower costs, and increase sustainability. The audits are non-intrusive and will not affect the operation of the schools. Water saving technology may also be offered to the school at no cost.
If your school is interested in this opportunity and for further information, please contact liz.pasteur2@derbyshire.gov.uk
