The 2026 youth wellbeing survey is still live for all secondary schools. Please promote with students in academic years 8 – 11 to complete. The deadline for completion is Thursday 23 July 2026.
Youth Employment Support (YES) events are being held during July and August for 16 to 24-year-olds who need support planning their next steps into learning, training or work. Experts will be on hand to provide information, advice and guidance on employment opportunities, training and qualifications, apprenticeships and much more.
Events are being held in Ilkeston, Swadlincote and Chesterfield and are free to attend – no need to book. Please share with your school community.
Please note that key payroll data and personal identifiers such as contact details may be provided to bodies responsible for auditing, administering public funds or where undertaking a public function for the purposes of preventing and detecting fraud. Derbyshire Libraries would like to invite schools to take part in this year's Reading Agency Summer Reading Challenge – 'Read to the Beat'. Derbyshire Libraries will be running many free activities to complement this year’s theme. Please ask at your local library or visit the Derbyshire County Council website for more information. Online training which explores demand anxiety (previously known as PDA - Pathological Demand Avoidance) and how it can present in children and young people, particularly within early years settings.
07 July 2026 – 1pm to 3pm
An online network event which aims to support school leads responsible for the development of RSE.
08 July 2026 – 3:45pm to 5:15pm
Online training and information for governors undertaking performance management for headteachers and approving performance-related pay increases for all teaching staff.
13 July 2026 – 6pm to 8pm
