Schools are reminded of the importance of submitting CMLs and CMJs promptly. These returns support our statutory duties to identify and track children who may be missing from education, helping ensure every child is safe and accounted for.

Travel Smart Week takes place from 18 to 22 May 2026 and encourages schools to combine storytelling, wellbeing and sustainable travel, helping pupils discover fun, healthy and planet‑friendly ways to get to school. In-person training that supports teachers to cover the statutory curriculum requirements, whilst allowing flexibility to ensure delivery is led by pupil need.

A two-part online course, which is a raising awareness module for anyone working in early years settings. This includes teaching and support staff, office and ancillary staff, caterers, caretakers, transport staff and governors.
- Day 1: 29 April 2026 – 4pm to 5:30pm

This online course aims to introduce you to the role of chair and help you develop to become an effective leader of your board.
29 April 2026 – 6pm to 8pm
This online phonics screening check briefing is a key opportunity to understand the statutory requirements of the check and to be clear in your role as check administrator.
06 May 2026 – 1:30pm to 3pm
A fully funded online network event which aims to support school leads responsible for the development of RSE.
