New payslip delivery – payslips are going digital for Derbyshire employed schools

Please see important information regarding the move to digital payslips for Derbyshire employed schools only. Please share the digital payslip sign‑up guidance with employees so they can submit their personal email address by 31 March 2026.

The first emailed payslip will be issued in April 2026.

Provisional numbers 2026-27 intakes

The closing date for on-time applications for both Reception and Junior Intakes has now passed. All on-time applications for Derbyshire children are now included in your school’s numbers on SAM. If you are a school which receives out county preferences, then these will be added as received so please check your numbers regularly.

Please also read the information included on the notice if you are a school which wishes to take additional pupils above your Published Admission Number (PAN).

Year 6: Writing moderation

This online course, delivered over two half-days, is designed for teachers who have not yet experienced a full moderation cycle. It provides a detailed overview of the statutory national requirements from the ‘Teacher Assessment Frameworks at the end of Key Stage 2’ (TAF).

  • Day 1: 30 January 2026 – 1pm to 4pm
  • Day 2: 06 February 2026 – 1pm to 4pm

Developing the foundations: Early reading & phonological awareness

An online course, delivered over two sessions on separate days, which will focus on early communication and language as it underpins learning in early reading.

  • Day 1: 10 February 2026 – 10am to 11:30am
  • Day 2: 24 February 2026 – 10am to 11:30am

Making the most of your NGA Membership

Four individual, online orientation sessions for headteachers, governors and clerks with NGA membership.

  • Session 1 – 04 February 2026 – 6pm to 6:30pm
  • Session 2 – 02 March 2026 – 5pm to 5:30pm
