Perspective Lite – new Headteachers from January – reminder

If you haven’t already, please email cs.web@derbyshire.gov.uk as soon as possible if you have a new Headteacher in post recently or from January, so we can update account details and maintain school access to important documents. Please ensure new Perspective Lite users have been trained and issued with the user guide, and are aware of the importance of naming documents correctly, in order for delivery to be made to the correct Service in a timely manner.

SchoolsNet locked documents

Your spring term usernames and passwords, for accessing locked documents published on SchoolsNet, have been issued to headteachers via the Perspective Lite January General folder.

Holiday and attendance penalty notices - updated

The penalty notice toolkit has been updated to resolve some issues some schools were having accessing the resources. This is now available in the Perspective Lite January General folder. Also in this edition of the toolkit is a briefing document to schools with some general reminders about the process, as well as some notes on some of the issues seen last term with requests. Please ensure these resources are shared with your staff that manage attendance.

Home to School Travel survey

Following updated legal guidance from government, DCC has launched a consultation on plans to update its school travel policies to make them more inclusive and promote independence. Please encourage school staff, parents and carers to complete the online survey, which runs until midnight on Sunday 22 February 2026. A series of engagement events are also being finalised, and details will be available soon.
