Online safety 1-to-1 support for parents
Do you have concerns that a pupil may be at risk of radicalisation online? Do their parents require some 1-to-1 support in setting up parental controls and building digital resilience within the home? Derbyshire County Council Prevent team is running a project to work with families of secondary school children, walking them through the practical ways of improving parental monitoring.
Places are limited, so please email Jamie.dean@derbyshire.gov.uk to discuss a potential referral.

A 2-part online course for Designated Safeguarding Leads. Participants must attend both training sessions.
17 January 2026.
- Part 1 – 9:30am to 11:30am.
- Part 2 – 12:30pm to 2:30pm.
Introduction to climate action planning
Two separate online sessions, free for Early Years and school staff, which will introduce the DfE strategy and request, climate action plans, and the support available for settings to develop and deliver them.
Please note the evening session is a repeat of the afternoon session, only one course needs to be attended.
