2025/2026 Derbyshire County Council Leader Pool

Temporary leadership secondment opportunities via the Derbyshire County Council Leader Pool can provide an opportunity for school leadership to gain that rich experience beyond their current school setting. We are now in the third year of the Leader Pool, having launched in September 2023 and would encourage you to view the details and consider if registering for this career development opportunity is of interest.

Emergency school closures

As all schools now have their own arrangements to contact parents and carers in the event of closing a school at short notice, such as for snow, the Derbyshire County Council notification service will cease on Friday 25 October 2025.
