If you are looking to recruit to a vacancy in your school and you are willing to consider a redeployee before advertising more widely, please email us on Schools.HRAdvisory@derbyshire.gov.uk with details of the post available including the school, the job role and if the job is part-time the number of hours/working weeks.

National Wraparound Childcare Programme Funding – applications open
The local authority is continuing to work towards the government ambition for all primary school aged children, who want it, to be able to access wraparound provision by September 2026, from 8am to 6pm every day. Funding is available to support the creation of new provision or the expansion of existing provision. For more information, please e-mail cs.sufficiencyservice@derbyshire.gov.uk
You can now view the school leases data that your school has submitted to ensure it is up to date using the school leases document, now available on the SchoolsNet website. You will need a pin number to access this information, which has been sent to your school by email.
The mode of travel data collection page has been updated with some new details and links to guidance related to Bike week and National clean air day in 2025.
As families prepare for travel over the summer break, there is more chance for measles to be brought in from countries where there are outbreaks. Catching up children who missed out on their MMR vaccines is a priority, in order to help prevent another rise in measles cases. The UK Health Security Agency has released some useful material, which the Heath Protection team would appreciate if you could forward to parents, carers and staff in your setting.

Year 2: Writing moderation workshop (Summer term)
During these 1.5 hour sessions, teachers will be provided with the latest headline information and guidance relating to assessment and moderation. Schools only need to attend to one of these three in-person sessions.
