It's the county council election on Thursday 1 May.
As you probably know, you now need to show photo ID when you visit the polling station to cast your vote, so have you got your ID ready to go?
If you don't have an accepted form of photo ID you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate to use as ID. You should apply for this by 5pm on Wednesday 23 April 2025.
That's also the deadline if you want to apply to get a proxy vote, where you nominate someone to cast your vote on your behalf.
An emergency proxy vote can be granted in certain circumstances and can be applied for by contacting your relevant district or borough council until 5pm on 1 May 2025 (polling day).

Have you heard of The Autism Information and Advice Service?
It's a free resource designed to support autistic people of all ages, as well as parents, carers and professionals across Derby and Derbyshire. People don't need a diagnosis.
The service, provided by Citizens Advice, is commissioned by us and the city council. We're helping to spread the word so that more people can access its support.
Anyone can book an appointment with advisors who can signpost you to resources and support. The service can also help with diagnosis, education, employment, wellbeing and mental health.
It provides free information and guidance over the phone, face to face, or at drop-in events at various locations. Professionals can get free autism awareness training. Parents and carers can attend free monthly autism workshops.
