Perspective Lite – new Headteachers from April – reminder
If you haven’t already, please email cs.web@derbyshire.gov.uk as soon as possible if you have a new Headteacher in post recently or from April, so we can update account details and maintain school access to important documents. Please ensure new Perspective Lite users have been trained and issued with the user guide, and are aware of the importance of naming documents correctly, in order for delivery to be made to the correct Service in a timely manner.
SchoolsNet locked documents
Your summer term usernames and passwords, for accessing locked documents published on SchoolsNet, have been issued to headteachers via the Perspective Lite April General folder.
Schools need to be aware that the Neonatal Care (Leave and Pay) Act, which may affect some employees, came into effect 6 April 2025, and details should be reviewed on Services for Schools. If the Schools HR Advisory Service is purchased, please email any queries to: Schools.HRAdvisory@derbyshire.gov.uk.

Derbyshire County Council has published the new Council Plan 2025 - 2029 which focuses on services deemed important by residents and sets out ways to improve efficiency and value for money while addressing challenges. Key elements include a new vision, outcomes, employee values, customer commitments, and 24 strategic objectives to drive delivery of the plan.
Allocations are now complete for the Primary Offer Day on 16 April. Please remember all information is confidential and to allow time for the decision letters and emails to reach parents before making any contact.

This online briefing is designed to support staff involved in the administration of the statutory end of key stage 2 tests and teacher assessment of writing, including moderation.

This online Phonics Screening Check briefing is a key opportunity to understand the statutory requirements of the check and to be clear in your role as check administrator.
30 April 2025 – 1:30pm to 3pm
A one-day in-person course which will enable teachers and leaders to understand the pedagogy and practice of religious education as found in the Derbyshire Agreed Syllabus for RE.
Three dates in June all based at County Hall, Smedley Street, Matlock, DE4 3AG.
- 19 June 2025 – 9am to 4:30pm.
- 20 June 2025 – 9am to 4:30pm.
- 27 June 2025 – 9am to 4:30pm.
An opportunity to work collaboratively with other EYFS schools and practitioners with the Derbyshire Early Years teacher team, to moderate children’s achievements in regard to the EYFSP aspects of writing, physical development and one other key area related to your cluster data from 2024.
