New process for claiming mileage – LA maintained schools

Please see important information which comes into effect 1 April 2025 regarding fuel receipts related to mileage claims. Please login to Services for Schools to view.


Schools financial year-end

Guidance, including the timetable for preparing the 2024 - 2025 year-end accounts, is now available to view on SchoolsNet along with other helpful documents.


Elective Home Education – important reminder

Please see new guidance and form link for the Elective Home Education process in Locked Documents (the termly password is in Perspective Lite January General folder).

Updated parent information sheet for schools to pass on to parents choosing to home educate their child, and deregistration process for schools are available in related documents.

Secondary transfer 2025-2026

The allocation process for secondary transfer is now complete. Secondary schools can now view their allocations on the School Access Module (SAM) and primary and junior schools can now view the destination school for their year 6 leavers in July also on SAM. You are reminded that this information must remain confidential until well after the Secondary National Offer Day on 3rd March.

This free online event is open to all Derbyshire Relationships and Sex Education Leads in secondary schools. This session aims to support PSHE/ RSE leads to fulfil the DfE requirements around two specific areas of health education related to screening and vaccination.
