School contacts form update Autumn 2024 – reminder deadline 30 November 2024 

The annual contacts report, with guidance and link to an online form, was uploaded to the Perspective Lite October General folder last month. Please review, as it's very important that you ensure your school contacts are correct, and complete the online form by 30 November 2024. Thank you to those schools who have completed already.


Consultation on admission arrangements 2026 - 2027

Information has been published regarding consultation on school admission arrangements for 2026 – 2027, which has now opened.


Schools Financial Value Standard (SFVS) Return 2024-2025

The deadline for submission of the 2024-2025 Schools Financial Value Standard (SFVS) return to Derbyshire Audit Services is 31 March 2025. Approved SFVS documentation should be sent via Perspective Lite (830nnnn_AUDxxxxxxxsfvs). Please follow the guidance on SchoolsNet for further information on this.

SAP Fiori resources and workshops

There are two new SAP workshops for schools available on DLO:

  • Tuesday 26 November 2024 – Entering employee’s absences.
  • Thursday 5 December 2024 – Entering employee’s timesheets.

To enrol on these courses, please use the Derbyshire Learning Online (DLO) website.  Video training resources for the most frequent school Financial and HR tasks are available from the Derbyshire Learning Online (DLO) website.

Step by step guidance for all the HR and Finance tasks that schools complete are available on the SAP for schools section of SchoolsNet. If you require assistance with using the SAP Fiori Finance and HR applications, please email the team at: cst.budgetsupport@derbyshire.gov.uk


Cyber Choices early intervention programme

Cyber Choices is a national programme recognised in Keeping Children Safe in Education. There are free webinars in December to help professionals to identify young people who may be at risk of committing cybercrime and understand how to refer them into the Cyber Choices programme to promote positive outcomes.


Breastfeeding welcome here award

The award is a free accreditation scheme that shows you support families to breastfeed in your school. A flyer for displaying in your school is available to download.

Artificial Intelligence (AI): Staying safe with AI (Sessions 2 and 3)

Sessions 2 and 3 of the online training package to safely unlock the potential of AI for your school. Safety and information governance – policy (November) and AI, school systems and safeguarding (January).

Session 2 – 26 November 2024 – 3:30pm to 4:45pm.
Session 3 – 15 January 2025 – 3:30pm to 4:45pm.


Year 6: Writing moderation workshops

These in-person workshop sessions provide the opportunity to moderate a sample of your pupils’ written work and feel more confident in evidencing accurate teacher assessment judgements at this point in the year. Working with our moderators, you will also identify the ‘next steps’ in planning for your pupils.
