The School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document 2024 will become a statutory instrument in law on 8 November 2024, with its provisions backdated to 1 September 2024. A letter advising schools about the actions that they now need to take, is available on the Services for Schools HR Advisory Resources page.
Derbyshire’s It’s about me Holiday Activity and Food Programme (HAF)
Advance information and guidance about the Winter Holiday Activity and Food Programme, including your school’s unique IAM code, has been sent via your Perspective Lite November General folder.
Schools need to be aware of a new ‘preventative duty’ under the Equality Act 2010 which came into effect from 26 October 2024. Under this duty schools must take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. Further details are provided on Services for Schools.

This series of 3 online sessions is designed to give our pupils the best chance of success in the Y1 Phonics Screening Checks. Working in collaboration with 3 English Hubs, Hub Leads will support teachers and leaders to plan for success in phonics.

This is the first online session of a programme to support leaders to unlock the potential of AI in their schools, in a safe, compliant way. Make sure you know the potential risks and how you can manage them.

These in-person workshop sessions provide the opportunity to moderate a sample of your pupils’ written work and feel more confident in evidencing accurate teacher assessment judgements at this point in the year. Working with our moderators, you will also identify the ‘next steps’ in planning for your pupils.
