Don’t miss your chance to have your say about proposals by National Grid to build approximately 37 miles (60km) of new overhead electricity line between Chesterfield and Willington.
New pylons are proposed to be put in place to carry 400 kV electricity cables to allow National Grid to carry more energy between the North of England and the Midlands.
The overhead line would connect a new substation at Chesterfield to the existing substation in Willington.
National Grid is inviting local people to take part in a public consultation about the proposals which closes on Tuesday 17 September.

Do you use our Household Waste Recycling Centre at Bretby?
We’ll be carrying out maintenance work at the centre on Main Street in Newhall from Monday (9 September 2024).
We’re resurfacing the loading area used by HGVs, which take the waste and recycling away from the centre.
Please leave extra time if you’re planning to use the centre in the coming weeks as there may be some delays due to parking being reduced temporarily and some short closures while HGVs move around the site. You may wish to consider visiting at times which are usually quieter between 11am and 2pm.
The work is expected to be complete by 25 October and we apologise for any inconvenience which may be caused by any delays during this time.

A vaccination programme to protect newborn babies and older people against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) has begun.
RSV is one of the common viruses that causes coughs and colds in winter, but it can cause severe and sometimes life-threatening breathing difficulties.
For the first time, women who are at least 28 weeks pregnant and people aged 75 to 79 will be offered the vaccine.
The UK is the first country in the world to offer a national vaccination programme that uses the same vaccine to protect both infants and older adults from RSV.
Despite infecting around 90% of children within the first two years of life, RSV is relatively unknown by the public.
It typically causes mild, cold-like symptoms. However, it can lead to severe lung infections like pneumonia and infant bronchiolitis and is a leading cause of infant mortality globally.
Each year in the UK, RSV accounts for around 30,000 hospitalisations in children aged under 5 and is responsible for 20 to 30 infant deaths.
It also causes around 9,000 hospital admissions in those aged over 75.
The RSV programme could free up thousands of hospital bed days and help to avoid hundreds of deaths each year.
