Alcohol and drug use is a part of many peoples’ lives, and for some this use will have an impact on their time at work. This webinar delivered by Derbyshire Addictions Advice Service (DAAS) in partnership with Healthy Workplaces Derbyshire (HWD) will provide information about drug and alcohol use and how it can affect staff and workplaces. It will be appropriate for any employers or employees in Derbyshire wanting to increase their substance use knowledge to support their colleagues and create a 'healthier' workforce.

This webinar will cover:

  • Commonly used substances, both alcohol and drugs
  • Why people may use substances
  • How substance use could affect workplace efficiency and safety
  • Alcohol units and guidelines
  • Creating conversations and positive environments
  • How to support employees and colleagues
  • Local drug and alcohol projects and support available
