If you haven’t advised us already that you have a new Headteacher in post, please email cs.web@derbyshire.gov.uk as soon as possible, so that we can update account details and maintain access to important documents. For all other staff, schools should review their Perspective Lite user accounts and delete any users who no longer work or require access for their role at the school, in line with our Information Sharing Agreement. Please ensure new Perspective Lite users have been trained and issued with the user guide, and are aware of the importance of naming documents correctly to send via Perspective Lite, in order for delivery to be made to the correct Service in a timely manner.
SchoolsNet locked documents
Usernames and passwords for the autumn term have been issued to headteachers, via the Perspective Lite September General folder, for accessing locked documents published on SchoolsNet.
Information Sharing Agreements have been reviewed and updated under the terms of the agreements which require them to be reviewed every three years. We are asking all schools, academies and trusts to confirm they agree to updated terms of the agreements to August 2026 via the web form, by 30 September 2023. Copies of agreements, related schedules and a link to the agreement sign up web form can be found on the SchoolsNet Information sharing (derbyshire.gov.uk) webpage.
Safeguarding Child Protection Policy and Addendum 2023
Derby and Derbyshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (DDSCP) have provided a template Safeguarding/Child Protection policy for schools for tailoring and adoption. Education Data Hub have further provided an Addendum to address the records management aspect. Please also see safeguarding update from Carol Woods at DDSCP, in Perspective Lite September General folder, to be distributed to safeguarding leads.
Education Welfare Service - important attendance guidance update
Updated attendance guidance documents and covering letter regarding legal processes were sent via Perspective Lite last week. Please check your September General folder.
Email address change for the DPO team
The email address for the DPO team in the Education Data Hub has been changed to DPforSchools@derbyshire.gov.uk. Emails sent to the “GDPR” address will still be received by the team, but messages will now be sent from the new email address. For subscribing schools, the Inset Refresher Training video link was sent to all data leads and headteachers from the new email address in August - you may need to check your spam folder if you haven’t received it.
