Further proposed strike action by the National Education Union (NEU) is due to take place on 27 April and 2 May 2023 and schools are reminded that advice is available on S4S on the resources pages of the HR Advisory Service.

The pay policy recommended for adoption by schools has now been updated, following publication of The School Teachers Pay and Conditions (England) (Amendment) Order 2023.
Schools can now take part in a range of new projects with a focus on mathematics and literacy attainment. Funded through the DfE’s Accelerator Fund, projects include trials of approaches that show promise in raising pupil attainment, and programmes already shown to be effective in previous trials, and are offered to schools at a highly subsidised rate.
