If you use an alternative fuel to heat your home, you'll shortly be getting some cash to help you pay for it.
If you use heating oil, LPG or other alternative fuels, then you'll receive a £200 Alternative Fuel Payment this month.
Most people will get the payment automatically through their electricity supplier as a credit on their bill, but if you are off-grid, you will need to apply through an online portal launching later this month.

If you travel between Matlock and Nottingham by train, you'll be pleased to hear that a full seven days' service will soon be reinstated.
The full service on the Derwent Valley Line had been suspended by East Midlands Railway (EMR) as part of cutbacks at the start of the coronavirus pandemic. It briefly restarted again in May 2021 only to be cut back again shortly afterwards.
EMR cited shortages of rolling stock, high levels of staff absence because of covid and operational issues for cutting the service.
The change to the service, which had been running since 2008, resulted in passengers travelling from Matlock to Nottingham having to change at Derby and seeing their journey times double as a result.
Local people, councils, businesses and organisations, including us, campaigned for the service to be brought back. This week EMR has confirmed that all-day-through services seven days a week are due to resume this May when the timetable changes again.

Did you know that you can view live pictures from traffic cameras that we have across the county?
We’ve cameras at eight places in Derbyshire, or just outside, and the pictures on our website show the condition of each road. Each picture's updated at least every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
You might find them useful when bad weather hits and you're making decisions about whether to set out on a journey or not.
Spring is on its way and it's getting close to lambing season. If you like to walk your dog in the countryside, please keep the dog on a lead when you're going through fields with livestock in them.
Please make sure you:
- Keep your dog under control, on a lead and only let it go if you're being chased by livestock.
- Never let your dog worry or chase wildlife or livestock.
- Keep your dog close by and stay to paths, don’t let them stray onto crops or go near livestock.
- Take poo bags, pick it up and take it with you.
