Coronation of King Charles lll – HR bank holiday guidance – reminder

Guidance is now available on the HR implications of the additional bank holiday on Monday 8 May 2023, agreed for the Coronation of King Charles lll.


Environment Agency - Flood warning content toolkit for Erewash schools

The Environment Agency has launched a new campaign targeting seven wards in Erewash (Long Eaton Central, Wilsthorpe, Derby Road West, Nottingham Road, Sawley, Sandiacre and Kirk Hallam & Stanton by Dale) to raise awareness of how to prepare for flooding. Their campaign toolkit contains a range of digital and printable posters, leaflets and graphics. For schools in the target areas, please consider sharing this content through your channels throughout January and February 2023.

Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service - Numeracy courses for adults

A new programme to help adults aged 19+ who do not already have a GCSE at grade C (or equivalent) in maths, starting with 20 for 20, an incentivised activity to improve numeracy skills. Please share this information with parents and carers.


Drugs education briefing paper - January 2023

Department for Education (DfE) Senior Mental Health Lead Grant Funding

Over 10,000 schools and colleges have already received a training grant, including more than 6 in 10 state funded secondary schools in England. To find out how to apply for a £1,200 grant for DfE quality assured senior mental health lead training (beginner, intermediate and advanced level courses available) then please visit the Education and Skills Funding Agency website.
