State funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll – Bank holiday HR guidance

Guidance is now available on the HR implications of the additional bank holiday agreed for the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll.


School Workforce Census: 3 November 2022 – Urgent action required

Schools must check/update their SEN Co-Ordinator (including any end dates), Newly Qualified Teachers and any Qualifications within SAP in preparation for the forthcoming school workforce census. Please see guidance. Due to payroll lockdown please ensure any updates are completed by the deadline of 30 September 2022.


Education Welfare Service - important attendance guidance update

Updated attendance guidance documents and covering letter regarding legal processes were sent via Perspective Lite last week. Please check your General folder.


Part-time timetable Term 1 Audit report

Reports have been sent via Perspective Lite General folder. Please ensure you are using the new guidance dated 24 January 2022 to complete and amend your school’s part-time timetable records. Responses should be submitted via the online forms by 23 September 2022.  


Listening to you 2022/2023 - Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner’s Survey

The Police and Crime Commissioner, Angelique Foster, is currently running a consultation on community safety and is particularly keen to hear the views of young people throughout Derbyshire. Please encourage your pupils and staff to complete this survey.


Pupil census guidance

The next pupil census date is Thursday 6 October 2022.  For schools that use RM Integris, guidance is now available to those supported by the Derbyshire Training and Support Team. The document has been published on the S4S RM Integris Training & Support – Census page. Everything is included within the guidance to allow schools to prepare well in advance of census day. You must be logged in to S4S to access this page.


The National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP)

Live Life Better Derbyshire has been asked by Public Health England to deliver the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP). A letter with further information has been sent to Headteachers of all infant, junior, and primary schools and academies via Perspective Lite General folder. The NCMP team will contact parents directly, please do not send any letters to parents.

Relationships and sex education (RSE) Portal

Please find information about the Relationships and sex education (RSE) Portal for all schools, which includes surveys and engagement tools to support RSE development. Schools that have not already done so, are invited to access the baseline and progress survey to help identify strengths and areas of improvement for their whole school approach to RSE.


Suspensions template - updated

The Inclusion Team has updated the suspensions template on SchoolsNet. Please use this version (V4) with immediate effect and replace any versions you may have downloaded.


Education Data Hub’s new Cyber Security Project

Our dedicated schools’ cyber security team have launched a two-year project to improve cyber resilience across Derbyshire schools, raising awareness through staff training and assessing IT infrastructure to mitigate risk. Find out more about this new project.


Spring Term Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) Collection of Royalties Data
