There's a wide range of activities covering sport and leisure, outdoor and wildlife, health and wellbeing, reading, music and history.

Healthy food is provided at every activity for children who get benefit-related free school meals.

The sessions, which are open to all five to 16-year-old children in Derbyshire, run throughout the school holidays and are free to families who claim benefit-related free school meals. For more information, including any costs, families should contact the group or organisation running the activity.

To view the activities and book check out the ‘It’s About Me’ website.

Food support voucher

Some households in Derbyshire are eligible for a one-off food voucher worth £50 this summer. Distribution started on Friday 8 July and was completed on 12 July. If you think you're eligible for a voucher but haven’t received one you can send an enquiry directly to the team.

Keeping our roads in good shape

It’s that time of year when we’re out in force tidying up the areas around our dual carriageways.

As well as continuing our ongoing work to fix potholes, we’re working with the district and borough councils to cut the grass on the central reservation and sides of the roads, pick up litter, empty gullies and drains and any other bits of maintenance.

We've listened to what you've said about verges on our roads so the work is carefully timed to start in July to allow native wildflowers to bloom and seed in readiness for new growth next year.

We'll do our absolute best to minimise disruption to you and all road users, but some roads will need to be completely closed for safety reasons. We're sorry if you experience any delays. Please bear with us. Thank you.

Tackling anti-social behaviour

Have you, or anyone you know, been affected by anti-social behaviour?

anti-social behaviour

We, and the other organisations we work with year-round on anti-social behaviour across Derbyshire, are supporting national Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week.

We've been using the week to help you learn more about what is and isn’t anti-social behaviour and where to turn if you need help.

You can find lots of advice and support online on the Derbyshire anti-social behaviour hub.

If you come across an issue that should be reported to police, use the reporting tool on Derbyshire Constabulary website. Visit www.derbyshire.police.uk and search ‘ASB’. You can also call 101. Remember, to report a crime in progress or if someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
