School-age children living in Derbyshire who receive benefit related free school meals will be able to take part in free Easter holiday activities available at community centres and schools across the county.
The free sessions include a healthy meal at breakfast or lunchtime and seasonal activities including trips to attend outdoor activity centres, concerts as well as sports and craft clubs.
Across the county there are 26,000 free places available at 95 venues, throughout the Easter holidays from Monday 11 April.
The sessions are all free for families who claim benefit-related free school meals. Places are also available for other disadvantaged school age young people living in the county including children with special educational needs and children in care.
Places are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited number available for any school-age children living in the county.
Parents can register online to find out what activities are available and how to book.
Our interactive it's about me website has also been updated with a range of online games and fun activities for children and useful information about wellbeing, food nutrition and exercise.
Snake Pass reopened this week after a closure following three landslips.
There are three temporary single carriageway restrictions at Gillott Hey, Alport and Wood Cottage. Traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic lights and a 20mph speed limit will be in operation.
To minimise any further damage to the road at the site of the landslips, HGVs over 7.5 tonnes will be asked to follow a signed diversion.
We're holding some drop-in sessions where you can find out more about our proposed Minerals Local Plan for Derby and Derbyshire and discuss the plans with us.
The plan will help us make decisions on applications to carry out mineral extraction in the county and the city up to 2038.
It covers all of Derby and Derbyshire, outside the Peak District National Park.
The consultation closes on 29 April.

Free tests for Covid-19 from the NHS has now ended for most people in England yesterday.
But if you're at high risk from Covid-19 you'll still be able to get free NHS tests. The same applies if you work for the NHS or in social care, or are going into hospital.
