Providers can now access newly created video tutorials and updated mini guides to help with the submission of funding data on the Derbyshire provider portal. 

Providers will be directed to access portal guidance materials to resolve any issues in the first instance. 

We hope you find them helpful and would welcome your feedback.

PROVIDER PORTAL VIDEOS AND MINI GUIDES

The Early Years Sufficiency Team have updated written provider portal guidance to include clear step-by-step instructions, including screenshots, to help providers with the submission of funding data on to the provider portal.  A full Derbyshire Provider Portal guidance is available (without screenshots).

Alongside written guidance, we have compiled short video tutorials which demonstrate how to navigate and submit funding claims on the provider portal. These guides have been designed to target providers most frequently asked questions. This will mean providers will have information readily available, which will help with any queries around the submission of data on the portal.

The SchoolsNet - Funding and contracts tile provides you with access to the newly created YouTube videos and mini guides to help you with: 

• Provider portal - signing in and out
• Submit estimated hours of attendance before the start of term
• Actual headcount claims - existing children
• Actual headcount claims - deleting children
• Actual headcount claims - adding a new child
• Claim for an eligible two-year-old
• Check a 30-hour code and determine eligibility
• Submit an adjustment - child increased funded hours
• Submit an adjustment - child left or reduced funded hours
• Submit an adjustment - child started after the portal closed
• View adjustments for previous funding period
• View payments and previous claims

The Derbyshire County Council website link takes you to the early years and childcare webpage which provides further useful information e.g. information about how parents can apply for free childcare or information around contracting with the local authority to delivery early years funding.

Save the SchoolsNet webpage to your favourites or home screen for quick and easy access.    Guidance on the SchoolsNet - Funding and contracts is compatible with mobile devices. Providers will need to scroll to the bottom of the webpage to see guidance documents listed. Documents can be accessed online, downloaded or printed. However, it is strongly recommended that funding data is submitted on the provider portal via a laptop / computer for accuracy.
