We want you to take part in a wide-ranging survey asking for your views on our services and how our budget should be prioritised for the year ahead.
Our annual Your Council Your Voice survey runs until Sunday 28 November and we'd really like you to fill it in so that we can hear your views on how we spend your money, as well as on a number of other topics related to our work.
Tell us what you think about the services you use, how satisfied you are with them and which ones you think are most important and why.
The survey also asks you whether the Covid-19 pandemic has changed your opinion of the council and the services we provide, and if it has had an impact on your satisfaction with the way we run things.
Anyone filling in the survey can enter a prize draw, with one person winning £100 of shopping vouchers.
Shine a Light is a new night-time attraction celebrating the county’s rich heritage by lighting up two Derbyshire landmarks using large-scale projections.
There are four dates this month to see the impressive displays of light and sound at Chatsworth House and Cromford Mills.
Shine a Light is at Chatsworth, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, today and tomorrow from 6.30pm.
The spectacular will also be at Cromford Mills, home of Sir Richard Arkwright’s first mill complex, in the UNESCO Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, on Thursday 28 October and Friday 29 October from 6.30pm.
We commissioned the large-scale experiences from Derbyshire-born duo Illuminos to celebrate our county's history while boosting the visitor economy in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic – and providing fun and entertainment for all the family.
Tickets are £8 for adults and £6 per child (aged 4 to 16 inclusive, free for 3 and under).
The Tameside & Glossop Vaccination Bus will be at Winster Mews car park, Gamesley, on Tues 26 Oct 10am-4pm.
If you haven't had your life-saving Covid jab yet you can get on board for your first or second jab.
For the latest local clinics: www.tameside.gov.uk/covidvaccine or call 0161 368 5426.

We're working to cut the use of single-use plastic with a commitment expected to drastically reduce the amount of unnecessary waste we produce.
We plan to:
- recognise and avoid buying and using single-use plastics for use in council buildings and services, where possible
- look for more sustainable alternatives
- where suitable alternatives aren’t available, make sure that single-use plastic products contain a recycled content of at least 30% or can themselves be recycled.
Our commitment to reduce our use of single-use plastics is part of our drive to reduce emissions to net-zero by 2032 or sooner and help the rest of Derbyshire reduce carbon emissions generated within the county to net zero by 2050 or sooner.

Groups, businesses and residents are being asked to come forward with their ideas for using a former café space in Chesterfield Library.
Café Browser closed its doors in March 2020 due to the first national coronavirus lockdown and has not reopened.
It had been struggling to thrive in recent years due to competition from a number of new cafés and eateries opening up close by.
At a meeting earlier this month we made the decision to close the café permanently. We'll remove all catering equipment and re-use it elsewhere.
Any business or group which might want to run their own venture must be self-funding and run it as a separate entity from the council as no financial assistance would be available.
If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in using the space at Chesterfield Library, please email ask.library@derbyshire.gov.uk. Ideas should be submitted by Friday 26 November.
If you would like to comment on the the decision to close the café at the library in New Beetwell Street (above) please email cs.catering@derbyshire.gov.uk.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two volunteers to play a part in the way crime and disorder is tackled in Derbyshire.
Derbyshire Police and Crime Panel is looking for two new independent members to sit on the panel, which scrutinises the work of Derbyshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner.
The PCC is responsible for setting the priorities and resources for Derbyshire Constabulary and supporting community safety activities.
All independent panel members, whose role is voluntary, get training and can claim reasonable expenses.
If you keep birds you're being urged to take action now to protect them and avoid any outbreaks of avian flu, more commonly known as bird flu.
Our Trading Standards team is backing the call, which has been issued by the UK’s four chief veterinary officers.
There are currently no cases of avian flu in the UK, but over the past year 26 outbreaks have been confirmed nationally in kept poultry and captive birds, with more than 300 cases confirmed in wild birds. Two cases affected parts of Derbyshire.
