We've been carrying out a major programme of improvements to the county's roads.
Our highways team, working with external contractors, has now completed 23 of the resurfacing jobs planned for this year, with more to follow in the coming months.
On top of this, more than 700,000m2 of surface dressing has been completed across the county, and that'll help protect the roads from potholes over winter.
You can find out which roads are scheduled to be resurfaced on our website and find more details of road closures on the One Network site. Most of the resurfacing work is carried out at night, with roads needing to be closed so the job can be completed safely.
We know that vital works like this, while keeping the roads in good condition, also cause disruption in the short term and we're very sorry if this affects you.

We’re helping town centres across Derbyshire to bounce back with the national ShopAppy.com scheme which is boosting trade for local shops and services as well as benefiting local residents. And now it's in Ripley.
Today (Friday 24 September) sees the official launch of ShopAppy in Ripley.
Along with other councils in Derbyshire, we support ShopAppy , a website that enables independent retailers to offer online sales and click-and-collect services and to compete with national retailers. For some of them the addition of an online offer helps to keep their high street business viable and our town centres vibrant and attractive places to shop.
One of the businesses taking part is Heather May (above) in Chapel Street, Ripley – which creates home fragrance, beauty products and offers creative workshops.

Our White Hall Outdoor Education Centre has been giving thousands of young people fantastic experiences for 70 years now.
The centre in Buxton celebrated its 70th anniversary on Saturday 18 September. White Hall colleagues celebrated by putting on a family activity fun day.
Over the years, more than a million people have taken part in residential, day and outreach courses enjoying rock climbing, caving, mountain biking and canoeing in the surrounding Peak District as well as using its onsite climbing wall, ropes course and zip wire facilities. Here’s to another 70 years!
