On 17 July, with the prior permission of the teaching staff, a PCSO entered the playground, not in uniform before school started and tried to engage with the children as part of their stranger danger awareness assembly.
This was in preparation for keeping the children safe during the summer holidays.
Officers will often visit schools and carry out exercises like this as a chance to engage with the children and provide real life scenarios for the children.
