In this months newsletter you will read about Operation Enhance, after we secured extra funding to see extra patrols.
This include areas across Allerdale.
On Sunday we also see England play in the Euro final.
Throughout the tournament we have had plans in place to ensure everyone enjoys the matches. Our communities can expect to see an increased police presence with officers on patrol and working with licences.
Football is an emotive sport, however there is simply no excuse for violence or disorder, and we want people to treat each other with respect. And most of all enjoy the game together.

OPERATION ENHANCE: Increased police patrols in anti-social behaviour and violence hotspots coming to West Cumbria
We have secured £1 million of extra funding which will see extra patrols in 18 areas - including in Allerdale - identified by statistical analysis as the county's hotspot areas of anti-social behaviour and serious violence. These areas include:
- Workington Town Centre
- Maryport Town Centre
- Maryport South
- Whitehaven Town Centre
- Cleator Moor
Cumbria’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, David Allen, said: "This £1m of extra funding will provide Cumbria Constabulary with the ability to tackle and prevent ASB and serious violence more effectively by getting more officers out on the streets.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to make Cumbria safer and better for all who live, work and visit these hotspots.”
