As shared at Implementing WELL: Workshop 6, next year’s Implementation sessions will be led by Professor Jonathan Sharples and Jon Eaton and supported by our element leads.
Workshops have move to a termly, priority-focused model.
These sessions will combine practical expertise from the WELL element programmes with bespoke implementation support to help schools embed and sustain their work, alongside opportunities to collaborate with other WELL schools working on similar priorities.
In line with grant funding requirements, all schools are expected to attend termly workshops aligned to their WELL priority. Additional colleagues are welcome to attend other implementation strands, where capacity allows.
Building on this year’s work, schools are not required to develop a new implementation plan. We encourage you to continue with your existing plan and attend the workshops most relevant to your school's priority:
- Implementing the Teaching of Mathematics (ITOM)
- Implementing: Literacy / English
- Implementing: GTT / MITA / Others
We will also introduce 'Small Schools' specific Implementation Workshops, hosted at our network of small schools.
All workshop dates are in the Annual Events Planner and sign-up is available via the WELL 2026/27 form.

Following the success of previous years, the WELL MITA programme returns for Cohort 3.
Led by EEF Guidance Panel Advisor, Sally Franklin - this whole-school programme focuses on strengthening both the deployment and practice of teaching assistants to maximise impact across the classroom.
You can view the full programme outline for further details and sign up via the WELL 2026/27 form.
Schools are asked to identify two members of SLT (one for small schools) to engage in initial leadership training, followed by tailored guidance for teachers and practical training for TAs - driving a sustainable, whole-school approach.
Implementing MITA: If TA deployment is your WELL priority, bespoke workshops and resources are available to support SLT and SENDCos with implementation.
