WELL Annual Planner & Programmes Offer 2026/27
Following the half term break, we will be sharing our programme offer for the next academic year, along with key dates for your diaries.
The focus will be on continuing the programmes delivered this year and building on the impact of the Implementing WELL project with Professor Jonathan Sharples and Jon Eaton, while further developing and strengthening local expertise and collaboration across our schools.
For those attending the Implementing WELL workshops this week, John Shannon, Director of WELL - will also provide an overview of what to expect in 2026/27.

Workshop 6: Sustaining Change
We look forward to welcoming you to the final Implementing WELL workshop of the academic year either today or tomorrow morning:
- Wednesday 20 May 09:30 - 12:30 Energus
- Wednesday 20 May 15:30 - 17:30 Online
- Thursday 21 May 09:30 - 12:30 Whitehaven Golf Club
This workshop will focus on 'Sustain' - making change stick.
During the session, you’ll be working in your priority focused learning community groups and will take part in collaborative ‘clinic’ sessions, based on the five key areas of implementation planning:
- Identifying the problem (e.g. pupil needs, reviewing current practice)
- Specifying what is being implemented (e.g. core components)
- Selecting and planning implementation strategies (e.g. professional development, piloting)
- Monitoring implementation (what to monitor and how)
- Evaluating impact (measuring outcomes)
This will provide an opportunity to network, share approaches and learn from other schools. You may wish to consider in advance which area(s) you would like to focus on at the session.
Preparation to Support:
We recognise that schools will be at different stages of their implementation journey - whether exploring, planning, delivering or sustaining - we encourage you to bring your plans along, whatever stage they are at, as they are working documents and can continue to be developed at the workshop.
